6061 Aluminum holder to mount 3D Printed Insert Molds.
Standard 6061 Aluminum blank mold to use with APSX-PIM Blank for 3D Printed Insert Molds. 3D printed molds are NOT included. The 3D printed molds can be made by using Origin, FormLabs, Markforged, Stratasys or an Asiga 3D printer with high temp plastic material. They can be screwed to the blank molds and can be used under high injection pressure. It brings the agility and flexibility to your product design process.

NOTE: It is suggested to use ONLY PP, PE or TPE materials with this type of molds. Other materials may need either high injection pressure or high temperature for molding. Some material such as PC may need the both high values.

It comes with a rubber cushion and two screws (1/4-20 5/8 inch) on the B side (right side) and two screws (1/4-20 1/2 in) on the A side (left side). The Silicone Rubber sheet (1/8" thick) material can also be purchased from McMaster.

High temp 3D print material should withstand up to 160 Celsius degrees such as FusionGray of Asiga. Another good option is FormLabs High Temp resin material which has 289 Celsius HDT. Stratasys has PolyJet material. The Origin company offers some perfect material by DSM.
